Dear Manufacturers: It’s Time for Good Weather Sealed Compact Cameras

The end of the point and shoot is very close; phones these days are just so darn good that many people don't need a point and shoot. But at the same time, you can surely find a way to make the point and shoot or compact camera much better. I mean the iPhone is waterproof to a certain degree; but why isn't a $1,200 camera?
